The problem

Production was tracked across twelve linked Excel workbooks. Weighing records required by the tax authority were filled in by hand, batch after batch, and month-end meant copying numbers between tabs.

What we built

One production system that follows each batch through all six stages of their process, with fifteen built-in reports in two languages. Every stock movement waits for a named person to approve it.

What changed

  • Twelve workbooks kept in sync by handOne shared system for the whole process
  • Stock figures anyone could overwriteEvery stock movement approved by a named person
  • Inspection meant opening someone’s spreadsheetA one-click snapshot ready for the inspector

People approve every change to stock before it counts.

Delivered in about eleven weeks. These are shipped capabilities; time or cost savings were not measured.

The starting point

The factory ran on colour-coded Excel workbooks: yellow cells for hand-typed facts, white cells for formulas only their author fully understood.

Every tax-mandatory weighing protocol was filled in by hand, batch after batch. Month-end meant copying numbers between tabs and hoping nothing drifted.

The tax authority can ask for the current state at any moment. The honest answer was a spreadsheet open on someone's laptop.

The delivery record

What we found, what we built, and where an accountable person stays in control.
